In the workshops of Gifu Prefecture, the crafting of candle holders has commenced.
In our previous post, we illustrated the process from cutting parts of the candle holder from massive marble blocks. Now, we continue the journey, providing a detailed account of shaping, polishing, bonding, and the final stages, accompanied by captivating photos.
3.Shaping Each Part
The distinct contours of each part are emerging, resembling a charming arrangement akin to Tyrolean chocolate.
Here, we showcase the lower parts that support the candle holder.
Moving on, the upper parts undergo meticulous processing. For this candle holder, we've designed it to accommodate both slender candles and robust pillar candles. Precision drilling ensures a snug fit for candles of various dimensions.
4.Polishing Each Part
Next, we delicately polish every surface. Similar to the previous vase, we maintain a subtle sheen between honing and water polishing.
5.Bonding the Parts
Ensuring a seamless connection of marble patterns, we proceed with the bonding process.
The completed bonded piece is shown here, soon to be delivered to "THE APOLLO GINZA."
Anticipation builds for the moment when these candle holders will illuminate with the flicker of flames. Primarily intended for use at the stylish bar counter, we envision numerous patrons in the chic Ginza district savoring meals and drinks amidst the radiant glow of these candle holders.
Designing an item that adds vibrancy to precious moments, and having the privilege to create such beautiful candle holders, fills us with joy and gratitude to all involved in this production.
The finished candle holders will be available for enjoyment at "THE APOLLO GINZA" from March 14th. We are also preparing for online sales, and once the launch date is confirmed, we'll announce it through our Instagram posts.
We eagerly await the pleasure of sharing these meticulously crafted candle holders with all of you.
